Founder, CEO & Co-Chair

  • Tommy is an award-winning writer, director, producer, editor, photographer, and cinematographer who most recently, directed and produced “Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss”, which was a massive hit for HBO/HBO Max. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he is also a member of AMPAS, the DGA, the PGA, the WGA, and the Television Academy, and sits on the boards of the Philadelphia Film Society and the The Dean’s Council at CMU.

 

Partner & Co-Chair

  • Codie Elaine Oliver is a film and television producer, as well as a Partner at Confluential Films. She co-created and currently directs and showruns "Black Love", the ground-breaking 4-time NAACP Image Awards-nominated series going into its sixth season. Codie also oversees Black Love Inc, a media company created and owned by the Olivers that explores and celebrates 360 degrees of Black Love 365 days per year. Codie is a proud Howard University and University of Southern California MFA graduate as well as mom to three boys.

 

Head of Film

  • Prince manages Confluential’s film slate with an emphasis on studio projects from diverse creators. Prior to Confluential, he was the President of Motion Picture & Co-Head of Development & Production at Marsai Martin’s Genius Productions where he oversaw films including “Amari and the Night Brothers,” “Queen,” “Fantasy Football,” and “StepMonster,” as well as the TV series “Saturdays.” Baggett began his career at Paramount Pictures TV and is dedicated to storytelling that creates new opportunities for underrepresented talent.

 

Head of Post-Production

  • Colt manages the post-production teams and technical workflows at Confluential to ensure a project’s success through every stage of the post-production process. He was the Post Supervisor on the HBO Documentary “Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss” and “40 Years a Prisoner,” as well as four seasons of “Black Love.” As a first-generation college grad in his family, he proudly keeps his BA from The Evergreen State College somewhere in a box in his garage.

 

Assistant Director of Photography and Equipment Manager

  • Ayo works across the film group on projects in development and as a camera intern on the set of Confluential projects. She is a 2022 graduate of Howard University, receiving her MFA in Directing and Cinematography, and has a B.S. in Neuroscience and Africana Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Previously, Ayo interned with the Development Team at HBO Max, is a 2021 alumna of the Academy Gold Rising program, and the recipient of Instagram’s Future First Filmmaker Grant. She looks to direct and DP projects that highlight Black voices in an elevated way.

  • Troi is an intern at Confluential Films.

Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs

  • Alexa manages all business affairs, legal and compliance matters for Confluential Films’ content creation and distribution, including films, documentaries, unscripted and scripted television, music, and all other aspects of the business. Previously, Alexa held positions as a Business Affairs Executive and Corporate Counsel at Amazon Studios.  She is a double Bruin, earning her BA from UCLA and JD from UCLA Law.

 

Assistant Editor

  • Guy works with the post-production team to assist in bringing all of Confluential's projects to life. He has been an assistant editor in the Mental Conditioning Department of the New York Yankees and on the Warner Music Entertainment documentary feature “Far Behind: A Candlebox Story.”

 

Editor

  • Joe has worked on projects of all kinds—scripted, unscripted, short form, long form, trailers, and, most recently, on the award-winning HBO documentary features “40 Years A Prisoner” and “Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss”.

 

SVP, Television

  • Myiea Coy co-manages the Television development slate with a concentration in unscripted and scripted half-hour series. Myiea most recently served as Vice President of Development at Bunim Murray Productions where she executive produced "Lizzo's Watch out for the Big Grrrls' for Amazon prime, co-developed the animated PBS special "The Day You Begin", and served as Executive Producer on the Facebook Watch series "Collab Crib". She was also the DE&I Co-Chair with a prime focus to amplify voices of color both in front of and behind the camera.

 

Post Production Coordinator

  • Nick is the Post Production Coordinator for Confluential Films

Film Coordinator

  • Kay Dillard is the Film Coordinator for Confluential Films. With both set and development experience, Kay has previously worked at 51 Entertainment, Bad Robot, and Circle of Confusion. Before diving into film, she worked in event production. Kay is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

 

VP, Documentaries

  • Keith oversees Confluential’s current documentary projects. His credits include Executive Producer on “40 Years A Prisoner'', Producer on “Juice WRLD: Into The Abyss,” and he is currently overseeing a Confluential series for Hulu as Executive Producer. Prior to Confluential, Gionet had a career as a music recording engineer.

 

Chief Operating Officer

  • Azella Perryman is the Chief Operating Officer for Confluential Films.

 

VP, Physical Production

  • Patrick is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and post-production for Confluential Films. He has worked with Academy Award nominated producers and filmmakers on both studio and indie films alike. His films have been commercially successful and have earned acceptance into Cannes and Sundance film festivals. Prior to Confluential Films, Patrick worked with Pop Life Entertainment where he oversaw physical production of their international film slate for distribution into the US and global Asian film markets. Patrick brings over twenty-five years of experience as a producer, line producer, and UPM and is a member of The Directors Guild of America.

  • Laundale is the Director of Finance and Operations

Coordinator

  • Sydney supports the VP, Television and the Head of Film and helps to identify projects that are a fit for Confluential's slate. Previously, she was a Broadcast Associate for CBS News in their Documentary Development unit on "Race Against Time: The CIA and 9/11." She holds a Visual & Media Arts bachelor's degree from Emerson College.

 

Intern

  • Talia supports both the VP, Documentaries and the Head of Film as an intern. Talia received her B.S. from the University of California-Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Talia is a screenwriter and director looking to get staffed on her first TV series. Talia is also an MFA candidate at USC's School Of Cinematics Arts prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program.

 

Senior Vice President

  • Taylor is a Director and Producer who works creatively across Confluential’s slate of scripted and unscripted projects. He co-directed the feature documentary “The Powerbroker,” which premiered on PBS’s Independent Lens, co-created Freethink Media’s unscripted series “Hard Reset,” and was formerly Head of Branded Content for the legendary firm Frog Design. He is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
